Well, today kicked off like any other day. I mean, who ought to've predicted that a simple trip to grab the mail would turn into my personal disaster zone? I was just finishing up my morning coffee when I noticed I bolted myself in with the keys still inside. Inside! You could not imagine the frustration that crashed me like a tidal wave.
I tried every maneuver I knew of, from jiggling the lock to digging it open. Nothing worked!
The sun was getting warmer, and my phone charge was slowly dying. To top it all off, I was starting to feel silly as neighbors started to peep.
Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, a kind neighbor suggested calling a locksmith. Let me tell you, that conversation was the most costly one I've ever taken. The locksmith showed up and swiftly got my door open.
Lesson learned? Maybe. But mostly, all I feel is relief.

A nagging voice in my head is screaming/I'm filled with frustration/It feels like a punch to the gut. What makes it even worse? It's pouring rain.
